This command manages the SSL certificate list for your NickServ account. If your client sends an SSL certificate to the IRC server upon connecting and this certificate is in your list, this will automatically identify to to services. Not all clients support identifying to services in this fashion.
This command offers 3 sub commands which will be described in greater detail further below. This command accepts 2 or 3 arguments, the sub command to perform, the nick name to perform it on (IRC operators only), and the fingerprint to add or delete if applicable.
This adds your current SSL certificate to the list. This avoids any potential issues with improper copy/pasting that happens or mistyping the certificate fingerprint. IRC operators cannot add certificates to other accounts. To add your current certificate, use the following command:
/msg NickServ cert add
This deletes an SSL certificate from your list. You will need to use the list command to view the list of SSL certificates and find the one you wish to delete. To delete the certificate <cert> from your account, use the following command:
/msg NickServ cert del <cert>
This simple command lists all of the SSL certificates on your account. To view your current list, issue this command:
/msg NickServ cert list
